We all have times in our lives where we need a little help. These could be related to relationship issues whether at home or at work, whether with family members, partners, spouses, schoolmates, co-workers, supervisors, friends, children. Then again there are those difficult times which are related to divorce, illnesses, job loss or transition, trauma, disabilities, retirement, loss of a loved one, end of life issues, adjustment to parenting, recent birth of a child, adoption, pregnancy, school, work, moving, direction in one’s life, general life or developmental transitions, spiritual emptiness or maintaining sobriety.
Psychopharmacology
There are also issues which are related to chemical imbalances that in some way affect the way our brain functions and may contribute to emotional problems and/or mental illness (no different from having diabetes). Those persons with these challenges may benefit from medication. A person who recognizes when a little help is needed may be on the way to improving or maintaining a measure of stability.

Victoria Pursley, ARPN, BC, CSMy Philosophy
I follow a holistic philosophy. Its premise is that a sense of well being is related to the way the body, mind, and soul (if one believes in the soul) interact and attempt to balance within the environment. One can improve the way one feels by investing effort in balancing those areas in one’s life as best as possible. My service offers a client the opportunity to begin identifying problem areas and begin addressing them with the assistance of psychotherapy and/or medications (if you have a therapist).
